We are the last.
The last generation to be unaugmented.
The last generation to be intellectually alone.
The last generation to be limited by our bodies.
We are the first.
The first generation to be augmented.
The first generation to be intellectually together.
The first generation to be limited only by our imaginations.

I screened Micheal Moore’s new movie “Sicko” this past weekend.
It investigates the American health care system with a focus on the behavior of large health insurance companies and contrasts the U.S. system with those of other countries with universal health care coverage.
I must say while not as powerful as ‘Fahrenheit 9/11″, it does have the same lasting impact.
A guy here in America gets 2 fingers cut off and because of his insurance he is given a CHOICE to get his index finger put back on for $18,000 or his ring finger for $12,000 NOT BOTH.
While a guy in Canada get all 4 finger sliced off and has them all put back for FREE.
At the end of the film he takes some people without adequate healthcare to Havana, Cuba.
One woman who was a 9/11 worker has lung problems and her prescription for asthma pills is $120/per bottle.
He Cuba she can get the SAME EXACT prescription for .05 CENTS
Looking at how universal healthcare WORKS in other countries like Canada, France and the UK makes you wonder what is really up in this country.
Micheal Moore is a true auteur and I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet and his and get his advice/insight to a film project I’m working on.
Everyone should go see this movie
SICKO opens in theaters nationwide June 29!

Maybe it’s the weather, maybe it’s the way the reaction to the finale of the Sopranos (I actually liked it), or maybe it’s just ME.
For some reason the city of New York doesn’t seem “New York” enough anymore.
I had a long day of business which continued into to the night which I ended up at Kingsize, for Lower East Soul

a weekly party from the incredible Mr. Len of DummySmacks (the label we are on).
Think of it as ” the best name that sample party in NYC.
If not for that come for the Fried Chicken and Kool Aid vodka.
Much fun, good vibes, after that I opted to go to APT for Little Ricky’s Ribshack, spun by the great Rich Medina (can’t wait for that remix)
As soon as I walked I was greeted by both Bobbito and Questlove

(dude I know you got 132387 Myspace friends, but answer 1 of my emails….lol)
APT I think is the only chilspoy left in the city you can count on for a goodtime, or if you just want to chill.
Rich was ripping it as usual, then something surreal happened, he threw on Wu Tang’s “Protect Ya Neck”, the crowd and me go wild and then Mr. Sean John Combs, Puffy, P. Diddy, Diddy walks in with ONE bodyguard in tow.
I saw that because he had much more bodyguards with him with my last personal encounter with him.
We say “whatsup” to each other and that was it.
Still a little surreal

I’ve see it everyday on subway.
A car full of everyone listening to their Ipods, PSPs, Treos or other mp3 or even mp4 devices for that matter.
There are the few who even have CD players.
But once in blue moon someone will buck the system and take it back to the portable cassette player.
Now I have proof.
As i was shuffling between tracks on my Treo 700p i use it to snap this pic:

I couldn’t resist. As I was listening to Ray Kurzweil’s audiobook
“The Age of Spiritual Machines” right after listening to some EPMD on my pda with a 4gb sd which has over 1000 songs, this dude sits next to me listening to his cassette walkman!
2 more stops and he takes out some batteries and ponders on replacing them but doesn’t.
Before the next stop he FLIPS the tape over.
Made me wonder what was on the tape.
Today June 1 in 1967 The Beatles album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band ” was released.

This is a near perfect album and had inspired every album released after.
Without the recording techniques used on this album HIP HOP music would be entirely different.
I found out that “Penny Lane” and “Strawberry Fields Forever” were recorded for this album but left off.
That’s why i say “almost” perfect.
My sister is getting married this weekend.
I hope the DJ is good.
