The people who are starting college this fall across
the nation were born in 1983. They are too young to
remember the space shuttle blowing up.

Their lifetime has always included AIDS.

Bottle caps have always been screw off and plastic.

The CD was introduced the year they were born.

They have always had an answering machine.

They have always had cable.

They cannot fathom not having a remote control.

Jay Leno has always been on the Tonight Show.

Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave.

They never took a swim and thought about Jaws.

They can’t imagine what hard contact lenses are.

They don’t know who Mork was or where he was from.

They never heard: “Where’s the Beef?”, “I’d walk a
mile for a Camel,” or “de plane Boss, de plane.”

They do not care who shot J. R. and have no idea who
J. R. even is.

McDonald’s never came in Styrofoam containers.

They don’t have a clue how to use a typewriter.

Do you feel old yet?

Trent Lott Preview

Posted on 16 December 2002 by Jonn Nubian

Ok a little of the Trent Lott interiew which was TAPED earlier this afternoon.
It’s not live on BET. He voted AGAINST the Martin Luther King Holiday…
Yet he is going on a “cival rights” tour.
More than likely he WONT be ousted.
If he does, it wont matter that much.
Maybe his appearance is preview of “ComicView” instead?

Trent Lott

Ok..So today my email box starts getting full from people about whether or not I will express my thoughts on it.

I’m peeping Fox News (We report you decide) while I’m listening to
Donald Byrd (Harlem River Drive)…
Trent Lott is on the phone talking to Sean Hannity, apologizing…again.

“…But obviously, I am sorry for my words, they were poorly chosen and insensitive
and I regret the way it has been interpreted,”

This is the statement for which Trent is catching heat:

“I want to say this about my state. When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him.
We’re proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn’t have had
all these problems over all these years, either.”

(I call him Trent since we are so close) :)
Email him and say what’s up: senatorlott@lott.senate.gov
All aplogies aside, he said this to Strom Thurman. What’s the big deal?
thurmond_strom (20k image)

Thurmond ran as the Dixiecrat candidate for president in 1948 on a platform calling for the continuation of segregation in the South.
Thing that bothers me most is that Strom is 100 years old!
(Living off the Lifeforce of lost political souls no doubt)
He is still in the Senate. Still making policy.

The Congressional Black Caucus is all over this thing. But…

No one said ANYTHING about Bill Clinton praising his MENTOR this October.
James Fulbright, another dixiecrat who went on to argue against Brown/Education decision in ’54.
Bill even hooked this dude up with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Why?
At least Bill had sense make a comment that he “didnt always agree with him”
Because Toni Morrison called his “our first black president”.
Because he has an office on the 14th floor penthouse of 55 West 125th Street.
(Harlemworld)
Built in 1973, the high-rise sports a large FUBU mural on its side and is said to be the “largest office tower in the nation built and owned by blacks.”

SHAFT had his office in midtown and his apartment was in the village. (FYI)
shaftinafrica2 (8k image)
I screened “Shaft in Africa” this weekend. One of the BEST action films..ever!
Deeper than the other 2 in the series.
(this also gives me a chance to even out the color scheme
I got pics of 2 scary looking white dudes on here…segregationists on top of that )

LMAO

I file this whole matter next to the “BarberShop” nonsense when Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson wanted to picket the film studio.

They shootin’! — Aw made you look
You a slave to a page in my rhyme book-Nas

Eclipse

Posted on 09 December 2002 by Jonn Nubian

eclipse (7k image)

Tourists watch the sun being blocked by the moon during a solar eclipse in the Australian outback town of Lyndhurst, located around 700 kilometres (437 miles) north of Adelaide. The town is one of only four in Australia where the 26 second-long full eclipse of the sun could be seen.

Next one visible is November 13th, 2012…so mark your calendar.

Gold

Posted on 07 December 2002 by Jonn Nubian

“People around town talkin this and that
How we sound like the “R” and our music is wack
Dropped the album Strickly Business and you thought we would fold
30 days later the LP went gold
So whatch sayin?”
-EPMD

I launched this site almost a year ago. It avergaes about 40-60 thousand “hits” or visits per
month. Now this month I’m happy to say my site has gone “gold”.
Meaning over 500,000 unique visits! (If I had a $1 for every visit)
Not bad I guess since I dont update or promote as much
as I should.

My man Micheal Moore’s site was averaging
about 70,000 per month until he dropped the film “Bowling for Columbine”.
Now he is up to 17 million. Whoah!

We will see how much when I some of the projects I’m working on.
1. The movie project (s)
2. The music projects(s)
3. Lifestyle Magazine/Website: d.VICE=device://digital VICE (get it?)
4. The Clothing line…someone actual purchased the JNU thongs…
…Hmmm…thanx for the support.

Ok…saw some post on the guestbook about my “goverment” name.
El Keter zadik..I know yours so dont even trip. :)
Tyren GRFX…I know your full name..including middle name….

Yes yes Y’all…Jonn Nubian is my REAL name.
I will be using a new moniker though.
Hans Blix…like the UN weapons inspector.
His name is so hardcore. It will be my underground MC name.
“Hans Blix, up in the mix
uncovering your ass like that sliiy rabbit from TRIX
Tell Bush he is insane
Messing with Saddam Husien
I know who is harboring the Real weapons of Mass Destruction..
Its Jonn Nubian and his Brown Eyed Intelligence production”

I’m buggin…but you heard it here first.

Peace
